- Salt Lake Running Company will be opening the Salt Lake Running & Multisport Company in January 2006. The shop will be dedicated to running and other lifestyle sports including swimming, triathlon and yoga, with expanded nutrition and other products that will help customers live and maintain an active lifestyle. They will also offer casual brands of apparel and footwear.

The location of the new store will be 1132 E. Draper Pkwy in Draper, UT. Many of the products at the new location will be a mirror image of the products at the Salt Lake location, but many will be unique to the “Multisport Vision” of the Draper store.

The new location will in no way negatively effect the operations of the Salt Lake Running Company located on Highland Drive in Salt Lake City.

- In Training, Utah’s only triathlon training center has become the first Computrainer multi-rider facility in the state. Up to four riders can train, race, and compete against each other, on their own bikes, using state of the art cycling software called Computrainer. Cyclists can choose from countless courses including Ironman Coeur d’Alene and the Ironman World Championships in Kona, HI.

- Tri Utah has announced their 2006 schedule which includes Utah’s first women’s only triathlon. The May 20th event will be a pool sprint, complete with female race directors! More information will be provided as soon as details become available. Information will be updated on www.triutah.com.

- The Spudman triathlon in Burley, ID has opened registration for 2006. According to the race web site the race will cap at 1,300 bib numbers.

“Unlike years past, this year there will be no refunds for any reason from day one,” says the race web site.
