Heath Thurston won the annual Burley Lions Club Spudman Triathlon, held on July 26, 2008. Thurston won the event in 1:46:44, holding off runner up, BJ Christenson by less then 30 seconds. Devan Tandy rounded out the men’s podium
In the women’s race, Johanna Nielson won convincingly in a time of 2:04:02, nearly three minutes faster then runner-up, Keena Schaerrer. Heather Penrod completed the women’s podium.

The women’s results listed here are not correct. The “winners” listed here were in wave seven, which skipped over the swim leg of the event.
