Michael Nordberg of Salt Lake City, Utah dominated the men’s Olympic distance event at the 2008 Xango Echo Triathlon, held on July 13, 2008 in Coalville, Utah. In the women’s Olympic race, Holly Walker of Bozeman, Montana crused the field with a dominating bike split (1:09:27). Johanna Nielsen of Salt Lake City, Utah tried to run her way back on to the top of the podium with the day’s fastest run split (39:55), but ran out of real estate.
Karl Wild of Alpine, Utah won the men’s Sprint event, completing the course in 1:06:54. Caprice Schwarzwalder won the women’s Sprint event with a winning time of 1:13:17.

If the results are correct, the fastest women’s bike split for the Olympic distance race at Echo was actually a 1:04:48 done by 40 year-old Jen Ward.
