The 2009 Utah triathlon calendar is nearly complete.  Staple events of Utah’s growing triathlon calendar previal again in 2009, including the popular TriUtah (http://www.triutah.com) events.  As expected, TriUtah will lead their season with the women’s favorite, Women of Steel Triathlon in May, followed by the Cache Valley Classic (June), Echo Tri (July), Jordanelle Tri (August) and Ogden Valley Tri (September).

BBSC Endurance Sports has taken over management duties for the Scofield Triathlon in ‘09.  Also, expect Utah’s biggest triathlon, BBSC’s SG TRI to sell out shortly. The event opened registration on Thanksgiving Day and is already half full.

New to the Utah triathlon scene is US Tri Sports (http://www.ustrisports.com).  The state’s newest event management company brings the Stansbury Park Tri in May and the Rock Cliff Tri at Jordanelle Reservoir in June.  Other “09 events are in the planning stages.

Battle At Midway Triathlon (http://www.bamtriathlon.com) will include a Sprint distance triathlon in ‘09, allowing less experienced triathletes to experience the Soldier Hollow Olympic venue.  BAM will hold the event’s third running in June.

Race Tri will continue with perineal favorite, Salem Spring Tri in May and will hold Utah’s only long course triathlon, Utah Half for the third year in Provo.
