Kokopelli Triathlon - ‘08 Results

Randall Olsen and Sue Pope won the Olympic distance event at the Kokopelli Triathlon, held at Sand Hollow Reservoir on Saturday, September 20, 2008. Chris Fetter and Carpice Schwarzwalder won the Sprint distance event.

Olsen completed the Olympic course in two hours, 12 minutes and 20 seconds. His time gave him a three minute advantage over runner-up, Devan Tandy. The two had nearly identical splits until the run, when Olsen out-ran Tandy by two minutes.

In the women’s race, Pope beat Rachel Cieslewicz to the finish line by one minute and 12 seconds. Pope’s over-all time of two hours, 32 minutes and five seconds was high-lighted by solid a swim and bike.

The men’s Sprint event ended with Fetter edging out Steve Olsen by 24 seconds. Unlike the men’s race, Schwarzwalder dominated the women’s Spring event by beating runner-up, Shirley Leydsmen by nearly eight minutes.

Ogden Valley Triathlon - 2008 Results

BJ Christenson took top honors at the 2008 Ogden Valley Triathlon, held in Huntsville, Utah on Saturday, September 13, 2008. The unique event put male and female racers head-to-head. The elite women left seven minutes and 12 seconds before the men. Christenson beat Jason Compton by nearly two minutes. Caprice Schwarzwalder was the top woman in sixth place, finishing nearly five-and-a-half minutes behind Christenson.

Camp Yuba Triathlon, 2008 Results

Steve Olsen and Jamie Lambert won the 2008 Camp Yuba Triathlon, held on Saturday, September 6, 2008. Olsen won the men’s event by three minutes over Eric Bjorkman. In the women’s race, Lambert held off Analyn Skabelund by over three minutes.

Due to problems with the event timer, complete results were not available at the time of this post.

Bear Lake Brawl - 2008 Results

Jason Crompton and Sue Pope won the Olympic distance event at the 2008 Bear Lake Brawl triathlon, held on Saturday, September 6, 2008. Crompton won the men’s race by nearly ten minutes, in a time of two hours and 40 seconds. Pope was nearly as dominate in the women’s race, winning by over three minutes.

In the Sprint event, Barry Gates and Desarea Wilkerson took top honors. Gates edged out Kevin Clarke winning by a narrow 36 gap. The top four finishers in the men’s race finished within two minutes of each other. In the women’s event, Wilkerson held off Deann Erickson , winning by two and a half minutes.

Jordanelle Triathlon - 2008 Results

Monte Still and Jennifer Melville won the 2008 Jordanelle Triathlon Olympic distance event, held at Jordenelle Reservior on August 23, 2008. Still won the men’s event with by over two minutes. Melville won the women’s event nearly two minutes.

In the Sprint race, Zachary Meizner won the men’s race by just over one minute. Amber Mounday won the women’s Sprint race by over one minute.

Okay ladies. Let’s call this “taking one for the team.” I donned one of Skirt Sports’ skirts for you. It was everything they say it is: comfortable and sexy. I can honestly say that if I were a woman, I’d definitely be wearing a skirt. For now, I’ll be retiring from cross dressing.

Nicole DeBoom, owner of Skirt Sports invited me to her booth at the Outdoor Retailer Show, in Salt Lake City, Utah on Friday, August 8, 2008. After a fun chat with the ladies working the booth, I was handed a fancy blue skirt. In the heat of the moment, I threw it on. That’s when things got a little crazy. Before I knew it, cameras were flashing. Nicole and I gave our sexiest posses for the Outdoor Retailer paparazzi. I found the flash of the cameras to be addicting. Maybe this was my weakness. Regardless, my wife has forgiven me.
